About The Project

The first step to helping our clients includes gathering important information. This information will help shape the rest of the project.

Company History

The Kakery was established by owner Kazy Guevara September 2021. At only 19 years old, Kazy is a passionate baker that is committed to putting love and care into all of her delicious creations. Her mission is to create desserts that taste as good as they look at a reasonable price.

Project Brief

For this project we teamed up with our client to build a brand identity. We started with designing a Logo then also created her Business Cards, Brochures, Order Forms & Stickers.

Project Goals

Our goal for this project was to design a logo that would appeal to our client as well as to her target audience.

Project Challenges

Our main challenge was creating a brand identity for the client’s bakery that would stand out on social media and attract more clients all while representing her bakery in a fun and modern way.

Sketching

Sketching is a vital step in the process of design. We created several sketches where we experimented with different designs with cakes, cupcakes and baking elements.

Project Specification

When building a brand every detail of the logo is important to the overall feel of the brand. Choosing the right colors and fonts are just as important as the art work.

Colors

This logo design was composed of many different colors. The mail colors are a gradient of blues and purples. Aside from blue being the clients favorite color, it was also used because of it’s positive meaning.

Blue is a color that represents loyalty, sophistication, mastry and respectability.
Purple represents authenticity, truthfulness and high quality.

Fonts

For the font we wanted to use something that would represent the clients youth, kindness and lively personality. After being shown several fonts, the client decided to go with a hand drawn letter “K” that we created and paired it with Bounce Script Regular.

Symbols

For this logo the hand drawn letter “K” is representing both the name of the business and the name of the client. The cupcake liner is symbolizing a cupcake.
