About The Project

Company History

Marie's Balloon Co is a family owned business that is based in Los Angeles California. The team is made up of certified balloon artists that cater to all occasion.

Project Brief

For this project we were asked to design a colorful logo that would be used for the company's website, social media accounts and employee uniforms.

Project Goals

The goal for this project was to design a logo that would suit the company's creativity and attract their clients.

Project Challenges

The challenge of this project was designing a logo that would appeal to a large target audience. We had to be able to attract clients wanting balloons for kids birthdays but also clients that need décor for a high end cocktail parties.

Sketching

After considering the goals and challenges of this project we created sketches and color pallets for the client to choose from.

Project Specification

When building a brand every detail of the logo is important to the overall feel of the brand. Choosing the right colors and fonts are just as important as the art work.

Colors

The client specified the colors she had in mind for the balloons, but different variations were shown to her before the final selection was made. The confetti became an added element that the client appreciated.

Fonts

The contrast in the fonts was designed this way to attract clients regardless of the type of event they needed the service for, from kids birthday parties to cocktail parties. We decided to go with Impact in black as the main font and Lucida Calligraphy, Italic in a dark pink as the secondary font.

Symbols

The client mentioned that she wanted actual balloons in the logo design. After showing her different sketches with different balloon layouts this was her final option.
