About The Project

The first step to helping our clients includes gathering important information. This information will help shape the rest of the project.

Project Brief

For this project we designed a matching Dr. Seuss themed set for our son's baby dedication. We created the invitations, a book request card, a thank you sticker, cupcake toppers, a cake topper & a drink menu.

Project Goals

Our goal was to design a Dr. Seuss themed set. The invitation & the book card were sent out to the guests together and the thank you sticker was placed on the goodie bags that were given to the guests.

Project Challenges

Some of the challenges for this project were creating an entire party set from scratch and making sure each piece looked good with the others as well as on their own.

Sketching

Sketching is a vital step in the process of design. This is where we build on ideas and let the customer decide what designs work best for them.

Project Specification

When designing event packages choosing the right colors and fonts is very important. These choices are what will let the guests easily determine if it's a child's birthday party or a wedding without having to read the invitation.

Colors

The colors we chose for all the designs were the most common ones found with the Dr. Seuss characters. We used multiple colors to make it look more lively & playful. Some of the colors we used were light blue, dark blue, red, yellow, dark orange, light orange, green & pink.

Fonts

For the fonts we wanted to use a combination that would have a childlike/friendly feel. For invitaion, book card & thank you stickers we used Tekton Pro, Bold & Showcard Gothic.

For the cupcake toppers, cake topper & drink menu we only used Grinched.

Symbols

The only symbols that we are using throughout all of the designs are the characters from the Dr. Seuss books/movies.
